Bio: Dr. Alleman received his DVM at Louisiana State University and practiced veterinary medicine in a clinical small-animal practice for nine years in New Orleans. He became a diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (companion animal specialty) in 1987 and was recertified in 1997 and 2007. Dr. Alleman completed residency training in clinical pathology and his PhD in molecular biology of tick-transmitted diseases, both at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. He is currently a professor of clinical pathology at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.
