About:

This presentation will look at the obesity epidemic here in the United States, current statistics, and consequences of obesity along with risk factors. Attendees will learn that spaying and neutering is a primary risk factor for obesity in both our dog and cat patients. Physiologic changes that occur post procedure will be detailed to understand this increased risk. Current strategies to mitigate weight gain post spay and neuter will be reviewed. Finally, new data will be presented around a revolutionary solution giving veterinarians and pet owners a proactive approach to weight gain.
